North Elmham Charity Shoot

This year has been a great year for new money raising ideas for our Charity of E.A.C.H. This year saw the 1st Annual Shoot which was hosted by Marshall Drew. With a total of 10 Guns and 15 beaters, we managed to raise £260 for our Charity. Discussions to move the date forward for next year have been put forward to many get a bigger bird count. Hey guys, and welcome back to the 2011/2012 YFC year. After such a great result at The Rally, North Elmham has not stopped over the summer break. We also have a New Members Evening on the 5th October, where we hope to bring in some new members, along with all the new faces which have been popping up over the last few months. Rally 2011 Report

The first thing i would like to say is Thank you to everybody who took part with Rally and Rally prep on the Friday. All the help was great and it certainly made some parts easier for me. Also, everybody should be very proud with all their efforts with exhibits, sports and all things we competed in on the day. I saw some great exhibits which looked like a lot of time and effort had been put into them. North Elmham came 2nd in this year’s Rally out of 12 clubs, which i am over the moon with. Both Wymondam and ourselves were many points ahead of the rest of the clubs, so all to do now is to beat, and knock Wymondham off top spot. I later found out that on Rally day itself; we were only ONE point behind Wymondham, proving we need to push hard at Pre Rally next year. Not only did we show strength at the Rally, but we were a Sea of Orange at the Rally Social the following weekend, by far out numbering any other club! I even remember our Rally Chairman saying to me "I see too much Orange for my liking", well played team ; ). The feeling of everyone being part of a team, working together was outstanding and exactly what North Elmham tries to push at every possible moment. I hope all of you, like myself, cannot wait until next year to try and win that all important cup. Well done to everyone! Competitions Secretary - Ned Vincent

The Big Screen

Our meeting last night was a trip to Martin's HiFi in Norwich, and although many of you will think that this is a shop and won't be very interesting, you missed out on a good night! Banging sound systems and home cinema screens were tried and tested by us and we came to the conclusion that if we all won the lottery, we would have spent it all last night. The 3D glasses were brilliant, but did make you look a little silly (we have photographic evidence!) For all those that missed out, I hope to see you next week for more fun.

The Ladies also did very well, coming 2nd out of 4 teams. We had a great turn out of about 25 and I felt all got stuck in whether it was on or off the pitch! Id like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along.

1, 2, 3 and.... Sleep sleep sleep!

On Wednesday the 5th January, The Hypnotic Experience Show went live at the Memorial Hall and was a total success once again. In total we made 455 pounds for The Big C Appeal. Steve Marshall showed us his hypnotic skills to over 135 people and I think everyone had a good giggle at the brave souls who decided to get on stage and get involved. Both the Bar and Raffle went down well too. Thank you to everyone who has helped out with Raffle prizes, organising and helping out on the night. Special thanks to Jimmy Brown and Laura Gould for doing all the foot work with ticket sales etc. Watch this space for North Elmham's next Charity event.

Senior Quiz Results

Thank you very much to the team who came on Thursday night to the first round of the Senior Quiz. Unfortunately we came 7th and will not be progressing to the next round. All 12 clubs competed and only the first 6 teams would go through. Derehm, North Walsham, Harleston, Watton/Attleborough, Wymondham and Diss were the clever 6 teams to make it through, and we were only 5 points behind Diss. Better luck next time Elmham! : )
